Limited Warranty
Quippini, LLC dba TheAccessPanelStore.com ("TheAccessPanelStore," "we," "our") warrants that the products we sell will be free from defects in material and workmanship when properly installed and used in accordance with the product's intended application and our recommended installation instructions. The length of coverage varies by product category and manufacturer, as described below.
This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Proof of purchase (order number or invoice) is required for all claims.
Coverage by Product Category
| Coverage Period | Products Covered |
|---|---|
| 6 Years | Fire extinguishers using dry chemical agents (ABC, BC, Purple K, Class D, Class K), against defects in material and workmanship under conditions of normal use. |
| 5 Years | Fire extinguishers using Halotron, CO₂, water, or water-based agents, against defects in material and workmanship under conditions of normal use. |
| 1 Year | All other products, including: access panels and doors (drywall, masonry, plaster, tile, and fire-rated), floor doors and hatches, roof hatches, smoke vents, duct access doors, fire extinguisher cabinets, hose cabinets, AED cabinets, safety railing, and related hardware and accessories — against defects in materials and workmanship from date of shipment. |
Manufacturer Coverage Alignment
For products manufactured by a third party, our coverage runs concurrently with, and does not exceed, the manufacturer's own published warranty. Where the manufacturer provides a shorter period than the tier above, the manufacturer's warranty governs. The current published terms for our major manufacturers are:
| Manufacturer | Warranty Terms |
|---|---|
| Acudor Products | 1 year from date of purchase against manufacturing defects, under normal conditions of use. Excludes damage caused by improper application, installation issues, or poor maintenance. Covers Acudor access panels, fire-rated doors, duct doors, roof hatches, smoke vents, and floor doors. |
| Activar Construction Products Group — JL Industries | 1 year from date of shipment against defects in materials and workmanship on access panels, floor doors, roof hatches, corner guards, and fire equipment cabinets. Fire extinguishers carry 6 years on dry-chemical models and 5 years on Halotron, CO₂, water, and water-based models. |
| Other manufacturers | Coverage matches the manufacturer's published warranty for their products. Warranty documents from specific manufacturers are available on request. |
Access panels and doors are assemblies that include moving parts — hinges, latches, cam locks, gaskets, and spring-assisted closures. The 1-year warranty term is the manufacturer standard across the access-panel industry and reflects the service life of these components under normal use.
What We'll Do

- Labor or installation costs for removing the original product or installing the replacement
- Costs to access the product (for example, scaffolding, lift equipment, drywall repair, or demolition of adjacent finishes)
- Any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages of any kind
What's Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:
- Improper application or specification (for example, installing a non-fire-rated panel where a fire-rated panel is required, or using an interior-rated product in an exterior location)
- Installation that does not follow our recommended instructions or the manufacturer's instructions, including use of fasteners, adhesives, or substrates other than those specified
- Improper maintenance, cleaning, or servicing (including the use of cleaners or solvents not approved by the manufacturer)
- Modification, alteration, or field painting of the product after purchase
- Impact exceeding the product's published design criteria, vandalism, or abuse
- Exposure to chemicals, cleaners, or environmental conditions outside the product's rated application
- UV degradation or color fade on products not rated for direct sunlight
- Normal wear, scratches, scuffs, dents, and cosmetic changes consistent with ordinary use
- Corrosion on products installed in unsealed exterior or high-humidity environments where a weather-rated product was not specified
- Products that have been discontinued by the manufacturer
- For fire extinguishers: failure to perform manufacturer-required inspection, recharging, and hydrostatic testing per NFPA 10 and local fire codes
- Accidents, acts of God, and other occurrences beyond our or the manufacturer's control, including fire, flood, and civil unrest
